Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What trucks do the UltraTuffLite™ and SuperTuffLite™ aluminum chutes fit on?
A: Both the patented UltraTuffLite™ and the SuperTuffLite™ will fit on Oshkosh (OTC), McNeilus (MTM), Schwing and Advance/Terex brand cement trucks.
Q: What if I don't have those style trucks?
A: We may be able to adapt one of our chutes to fit what you have. Or we offer custom flip chutes to match standard style chute extensions.
Q: I heard aluminum chutes break at the mounting hooks. Is this true?
A: True, some brands use cast aluminum hooks that are known to fail. We use extruded aluminum hooks that are hardened and are robotically welded to ensure strength and quality.
Q: Why do aluminum chutes cost more than steel?
A: Our Ultra and SuperTuffLite chutes cost more up front but they are actually a better value than steel. Our chutes should last 10 years or more if properly maintained. The chutes have a replaceable abrasion resistant poly liner that has an approximate life of 10,000 - 15,000 yards. When the poly liner wears out. You simply replace it. A local concrete supplier has had our chutes in service for eight years thus far. When compared to the life of steel you will see they are actually cheaper. Not to mention safer because they are lighter, reducing fatigue and injuries. Our aluminum chutes with the abrasion resistant poly liner flow more concrete faster versus a steel chute. Clean up is easier because the poly liner doesn't allow the residual build up like steel chutes do. The poly liner also has an insulating effect reducing the flash drying effects in hot weather and flash freezing in cold climates. As you can see the life expectancy alone makes them cheaper than steel. The other benefits far exceed the steel chutes.
